누구나 생각해 볼 수 있는 문제

 

누구나 한번 잘 생각해 볼 수 있는, 곧 '철학해' 볼 수 있는, 문제:

"But how do beliefs and desires manage to cause those little neurons to fire to begin with?

How can this happen unless beliefs and desires are themselves just physical happenings in the brain?

But is it coherent to suppose that these mental states are simply physical processes in the brain? ...

This is what is called the problem of mental causation, one of the most important issues concerning the mind ever since Descartes first formulated the mind-body problem."

"누구나"라고 했지만, 물론, 말하자면 그렇다는 거다.

실은 이 점에 관해서 좀 쓰고 싶은 어떤 생각들이 있지만, 나중으로 미뤄야겠다.

에세이 -- 예를 들면, "Pascal's Wager 2.0" --  를 읽으면서 느끼는

것도 있다.,
